{New Year // New Look // New Goals}

Happiest of Happy New Years to you my friends.

Can you see a few new changes on here? Including a little addition to the logo?

Well to be honest I had a moment of let's add "not so chic" up in there but through a little thought and a little convincing from my better half, we realized that chic is always going to be in the eye of the beholder. Plus this little place on the internets is all about my journey and struggle in trying to keep the chic while being a mama andddddd now in the burbs! So new name but a whole lot of the same stuff with a dash of confidence.

And now for a new year. a fresh start.

2015 was the year of change and finding the old confidence in myself. It was there, under a little dust and a few extra pounds still hiding it; but it's shining through and I feel better than ever. Every new year's eve I break out the paper and pen and intentionally sit down and think through the last year, the good/bad/ugly of a year gone by. And then I jot down some goals for the brand spankin new year ahead. And to be honest this year's list has a lot of last years, travel more with Z, listen to more music, write and read every day,more of everything from scratch, get organized etc etc. but overall it's about living and doing with more intention. Working harder to be present and enjoy the MOMENTS rather than speed through and let the to-do list weigh on me.

Breaking a part the day and setting specific time for blogging, working out and cooking; so that my time with Zoe can be full of uninterrupted fun and learning but also making me time EVERY SINGLE day. I want to be present for the coloring and dance parties. I want to plan weekend adventures for our family and capture them all with the camera and my phone lost in the bottom of my purse.

Don't get me wrong, I'd also like to lose another 20 pounds, eat cleaner and have more date nights. But if my 2016 Goals had an Instagram post it would be: I want to live my life with intention and let go of the things blocking me from complete blissful happiness and push harder to find a balance of being mama/partner/homemaker/me.

Cheers to a new year. Year of choosing joy and doing all the things it takes to get there.

Hope you and yours enjoyed a blessed holiday season by making memories that will last you a lifetime. Stay tuned for so so so much more this week and the rest of the year.
